Wikipedia preview box

Update 10-Dec-2021: First release is out.
More on the project website

In the commitment of the «THE ! association» (the-horse.education) and its websites we have realized a new feature for websites. It is intended to be an additional knowledge tool for students and all readers to become better informed.

Every Wikipedia link automatically gets a preview box (summary) which appears on mouseover or a fingertip and is recognizable in the text through a (W). We use it on our own websites, e.g. dontwastemy.energy (student teams' collaboration projects).

Copy one line of code is all you have to do to get the feature for your website as well!
It's also easy to integrate into a WordPress site or another CMS.

Try it out!

Rábano ipsum dolor Radieschen, consectetur  elit. Sed radish do eiusmod tempor radish ut 萝卜 et dolore magna retiisi. Ut enim ad minim Редис, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex eatim ラディッシュ consequat.

You are welcome to use it on your website

Add the following line of code to the bottom of your website, and all Wikipedia links will magically pop up a nice preview box with the article summary, that's all!

Collaborations across cultures - for now and the future

The Horse Education ! association (the-horse.education) enables young people in Switzerland and worldwide to realise collaborative & cross-cultural environmental projects.

Why "The Horse"?
The horse is a symbol for sustainable light-weight traveling - you pack only the needed knowledge, skills & tools for the journey.

What is the goal?
"Learning through experience"; so that we do not lose sight of the goal, seven proven steps or lighthouses (dontwastemy.energy) point the way.

We at su-pa believe that the ability to realise projects together and at eye level is fundamental for a sustainable and positively acting society. That is why we make our knowledge and experience available and actively support THE ! association.

Become a member (the-horse.education), too!

Neighbourhood Lab City Trees

Collecting trees - knowing trees - protecting trees.
"City Ideas" is a project competition of the City of Zurich and until 7.11. all people who live, work or spend their free time in Zurich can vote for their 5 favourite city ideas that they would like to see implemented in Zurich.

Public trees are better protected than private ones.
Public trees are recorded in the tree register of the city of Zurich, private ones are not.
This is where our idea comes in! More...

Citizen Science Summer School

For 2 weeks in June '21 - including the longest day and Summer Start of 21/06 - I participated in the remote Citizen Science Summer School from ETH and UZH.
Together with about 30 researchers, citizens and practitioners, experienced and newcomers, we went on exciting journeys of acquiring new knowledge as well as exchanging and passing on experiences, not only theoretically but also tangibly. Have I piqued your curiosity? Then take a look at the program (citizenscienceschool.uzh.ch)

In an international context, there was room for discussion of controversial issues from different perspectives of participatory approaches. The participants came from a wide range of disciplines: psychology, medicine, environmental science, biology, geography, material science, social science, media science, art, hydrology, archaeology, NGOs. Participants from Bhutan or Brazil have other hurdles to overcome than participants from Switzerland, France or Finland. And yet there are many things in common. There was a strong consensus that the way of communication is particularly important and also needs support and expertise.
