A leaflet in the form of an accordion — A leaflet can look like this as an app!

We are pleased to transform a leaflet into a web app (PWA) accordion for the cantonal office AWEL, Section of Operational Environmental Protection (awel.zh.ch).

To create a supracantonal tool for the calculation of the extinguishing water retention volume. Yep, truly something special but special and interesting! :-) The status is beta, version 0.95, soon public.

TWIST2018 Hackdays in Zürich

su-pa took part in the first TWIST2018 Hackdays !

9 teams were formed on site using and experimenting with open and linked data in collaboration. Besides a lot of other data sets the Statistical Office of the City of Zurich has freshly decided to publish its data as Linked Open Data at the very day of the TWIST2018 Hackdays.

Our hack team created the Zurich's big 5 project together. It's about newcomers in Zurich: Which city quarter matches your preferences? You can find it out by ranking the 5 predefined criteria. The results of data analysis, SPARQL queries and programming are shown in an interactive map. Check it out!

New su-pa server, "The horses", "Quick Boxes" and other stuff

supa has a brand new web server, a Windows Server 2016 with IIS 10 which is currently ^{(one of)} the most robust server, both in security and performance issues available.

The server runs as a VM (Virtual Machine) on Microsoft Azure
About 20 web apps are running on the web server, inclusive save-energy.tips, the students' project website (WordPress).
"The horses" (the working and interaction environment for students and teachers, more infos on teachingweb.org) are not on the new web server but all previous "horses" More...

We had the honor to present the concept of "The horse" at two conferences.

Eliane Suter delivered speeches.

The first event was the "bili-Erfa-Tagung 2018: digital und analog", a cantonal meeting at the Zurich University of teacher education (PHZH) and the 2nd took place at the national wide event "Forum de la maturité professionnelle 2018" in Martigny (VS) organized by IFFP (Institute fédéral des hautes études en formation professionnelle).

In the context of the events we created the mini website teachingweb.org containing the main info material of the concept "The horse".
